Anne Elizabeth Moore is currently touring with her book Body Horror: Capitalism, Fear, Misogyny, Jokes. She speaks about maintaining a comedic voice under oppressive conditions, and the intense forces—both external and internal—that disallow women’s participation. She also lectures occasionally with a talk pulled from her Eisner-winning book, Sweet Little Cunt: The Graphic Work of Julie Doucet, that looks at the impact of the Angoulême Grand-Prix winner’s multi-genre work on a generation of women and nonbinary comics creators.
She has been a frequent lecturer at universities, conferences, art institutions, and underground spaces around the globe. Past highlights include:

Moore speaks regularly on housing justice; censorship; women’s labor, human trafficking, and the garment industry; comics journalism; political art and social justice; intellectual property rights; and corporate incursions into the American cultural underground. She leads workshops on nonfiction writing and comics; copyright law for beginners; ethics and the cultural underground; and parody and satire; and she has developed a curriculum to teach non-reporters the tools of investigative journalism.
