My Inevitable Murder is a true-ish crime podcast in which Anne Elizabeth Moore investigates her own murder in advance, since most podcasters are actually kind of bad at this. In the course of her investigations, host and eventual victim Anne Elizabeth Moore introduces listeners to the very beautiful, and very rural, Delaware County, NY. Inverting the standard true-crime podcast narrative about rural communities through endless curiosity and boundless friendliness, My Inevitable Murder explores violence against women and the difficulties faced by journalists today, and seeks answers to questions like, “What keeps us safe?” and “What makes life worth living?”
Produced by Tinkertown Provisions, a hot-sauce and media content production facility in the Western Catskills since February 2023, My Inevitable Murder was initiated under a Delaware County Arts Grant, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered in Delaware County by the Roxbury Arts Group. The 2024 season of My Inevitable Murder, our second, is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature. Additional funding provided by the Fund for Investigative Journalism.
